Serena

“Serena” is graphite with a bit of watercolour in the background. The original piece is 9”x11” framed to 15”x17”. She won me a ribbon at the 2019 Brush and Palette Show. I loved the photo my neighbour took of this young Maasai child. I developed it into this art piece that has something pretty cool about it: the father and the photographer are reflected in her eyes. I loved working on the details of her corn rows and creating the expression on her face.
